When we talk about Çanakkale Victory, my generation tends to combine our own viewpoint with the stories we heard from our elders and veterans, envision those days, and try to understand the history as it is told.
When we tell these stories to our children and grandchildren with the same excitement as we were once told, only then we will have fulfilled our responsibility. Winning is not the end of a victory. What matters most is to learn our lessons and pass these lessons on to future generations, thus preventing them from suffering the bitter consequences of war.
